Pastor Kerry Brashears

Pastor Kerry Brashears is the founder/pastor of Vision For Jesus Christ Ministries in Richardson, Texas. He was born in New Orleans, LA. He was Educated at the James W. Johnson Elementary School, Priestley Jr. High and earned his diploma from Alcee Fortier Senior High School. He attended Delgado Community College, where he studied welding 1980-1982.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at First Free Mission Baptist Church by the late Rev. Fred Thomas. He served faithfully in the church choir.

Pastor Brashears, served as an associate minister at The Greater St John M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Oliver P. Duvernay, who gave him his license to preach the gospel in 2004.

On August 6, 2006 Kerry Brashears, was presented an Associate Degree of Theology at Sidell Baptist Seminary under Dr. Paul O. Dabdoub.

He sang many years with the Dimensions Of Faith Mass Choir and the Gospel Music Workshop Of America founder the late Rev. James Cleveland.

Kerry and Octavia were united in marriage on May 7, 2005 Under Rev. Louis Jones and Rev. Oliver P. Duvernay. Octavia is a Gospel Recording Artist/Song Writer. Together they joined Greater Emmanuel M.B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Louis S. Jones where Pastor Brashears served as an associate minister.

Since Hurricane Katrina they are residing in Garland, Texas where their ministry began. He was ordain and received his certificate of ordination on June 8, 2007. He founded Vision For Jesus Christ Ministries along with his wife Octavia Brashears, October 5, 2008 in Richardson, Texas.

He is the proud father of Kerry Jr. and Kedria Brashears, and step father of Christopher, Cerrelle and Joshua.
